we are all media freaks
cause we all secretly love tragedy
Romeo and Juliet and the like
Killed by her own son
sucked under by the ocean
earthquakes and landslides
cyanide and antifreeze
covered under the cement then leaves
so goes the story to us all
never judge you aren't perfect and
you have somewhat indulged in the like
watch the internet video once more to see the two headed human
up-close or the chupa-cabra or the Sasquatch or the alien
Watch them die slowly or fast
as long as we get OUR excitement and fix if you will
i think we are all a little guilty of this what about
the police shows that thrill us because we ourselves are not there
we all live through others dismal outcomes daily
you shouldn't say i don't do that cause if you watch the news YOU DO
we don't think of it as this often because we are so desensitized
to the facts that the media gives us which is never the whole truth
only what they want us to hear or see or feel
the media are just giving us what they think we want it does not have to be this way
until we all just refuse to watch demand anti depressing issues and we will need
less antidepressants and nerve pills we are making ourselves anxious
turn off the TV internet or media device of our choice when the blood is
spilling if not we are fueling the fire for the potential criminals don't buy in
we need to tell them we need more sunshine not rain yes bad things
happen but so do good lets try just try to tell them if
enough of us do they'll have to listen...no ratings ..no jobs
supply and demand
we are all part dramatic vampire, part weekend warrior
if we don't tolerate it they have to come up with a better plan
we can do this together demand a channel (hell we have 500)
that displays good and triumph and great deeds and random acts of kindness
petition the media lets start now!
we all have it in us to be displayed we all have free will and perseverance
Angels in the hearts of men
lets all get our heads up and demand it! this is a freeing movement
read it again make suggestions pass it on we have
to reiterate it is necessary for comprehension.
The universe is hostile
So impersonal
Devour to survive
So it is, so it's always been ...
We all feed on tragedy.
It's like blood to a vampire.
